Located on Ali’i Drive along the rugged Kona coastline of the Big Island, this home boasts five air-conditioned bedrooms, six spacious bathrooms, and plenty of space to comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests. Walls of ocean-facing glass open to maximize your enjoyment, from the sound of the waves crashing upon the rocks to the cool breezes blowing off the water. Take a dip in the private saltwater pool or soak in the hot tub for a while. Enjoy yoga or watch the kids play on the lawn as the adults watch over them from lounge chairs positioned just outside the glass sliders that lead back into the comfortable living room, with its oversized sectional and flatscreen TV.

There’s no need to argue about who gets which room since every bedroom has a king-size bed, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and its own full-size ensuite. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves in your sizable primary suite, with stunning ocean views both from the king-size bed and your private lanai that runs the length of the room. The primary bathroom treats you to double sinks, a walk-in closet, and a large tiled shower. The Ohana room can be enjoyed as a second primary suite with its king bed in the upstairs loft, downstairs bathroom, and sitting area with a queen sleeper sofa. For days when you need to check your work email, the office includes a workspace, as well as two twin beds where additional guests can lay their heads. The home includes a media room with an 80-inch TV, nine reclining seats, and hundreds of Blu-Rays for an epic movie night. There is also a game room where the family can hang out and play board games and charades or lounge on the comfortable sleeper sofa. In addition, you can keep packing to a minimum with the use of two full-size washers and dryers in the dedicated laundry room.

Whether you’re looking for relaxation or excitement, a fun-filled vacation is guaranteed as you spend your days enjoying the peace, tranquility, and beauty of Hale Pua, partake in adrenaline-producing activities, or explore the restaurants, shops, beaches, and cultural landmarks in the area. From Hale Pua, it’s a five-minute walk to Turtle Cove, where you can search for marine life in the tide pools, snorkel, surf, or go kayaking. Nearby, downtown Kailua-Kona provides numerous ocean activities, including scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, and dolphin and whale watching. Take a tour of Hulihe’e Palace, once home to native Hawaiian royalty, it’s now a museum featuring artifacts from the time of King Kalakaua and Queen Kapi’olani. Just across the street, you can visit Mokuaikaua Church, Hawai’i’s first Christian Church established in 1820. Out of town, you may also want to consider visiting the Observatory on Mauna Kea to do some stargazing and Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park for the opportunity to see the lava flow, a potentially once-in-a-lifetime experience!
